Toby Keith Turns Duet Into Movie

Toby Keith has written a movie script based on his popular duet with Willie Nelson, ‘Beer for My Horses.’ The film of the same name is set to begin shooting in February, and Keith recruited several of his famous friends to act alongside him in the flick, including Nelson, Ted Nugent, Mel Tillis and Rodney Carrington, who co-wrote the script.

The movie is described as a comedic action-adventure. Keith and Carrington will play small-town sheriff’s deputies who travel to Mexico to rescue a kidnapped girl. Nugent will play a character named Skunk, while Tillis has a cameo role. Nelson’s character has yet to be disclosed.

The ‘Beer For My Horses’ movie is set to hit theaters in late 2008.
