British opera star Russell Watson is preparing himself for five weeks of radiotherapy in an attempt to finally eradicate his brain tumor.

The tenor - who went into surgery in October to remove the tumor - will undergo the follow-up procedure in the New Year.

And Watson admits he is dreading the bout of radiotherapy, but remains confident he will get through the treatment.

He says, “It is going to be bloody awful, but I feel like I’m six points clear at the top of the league at the moment and all I need to do is draw the next game.”
