Britain’s The Daily Mail reports that Australian pop diva Kylie Minogue, who is in remission from breast cancer, has canceled her plans for a 2008 world tour under the advisement of her doctors.

“The tour is not going to happen, it is far too soon,” Minogue told the U.K. paper. “I can’t do it next year. It kind of breaks my heart because that is what I’m in this business for.

“Not being able to go ahead with my plans is a real downer,” she continues. “Every woman has to face up to new priorities, near the top is health. I take my health very seriously but not obsessively. Everything is about pacing yourself.”

However, Warner Music spokeswoman Kylie Martin maintains that a tour was never scheduled. “Rumors about a 2008 tour are untrue and always have been,” Martin said. “So I’m not sure how you can cancel a tour that was never announced.”

Minogue’s new album, ‘X,’ is due out on November 24.
